What’s In My Make-Up Bag

My make-up essentials
A whole new world opened up to me tonight — Polyvore. If you don’t know what it is it’s a platform that allows you to create boards with your favorite fashion or beauty stuff and it provides you with links, prices and more to where you can get everything on your wishlist. It’s brilliant. Safe to say I will become a polyvore addict in less than 0.2 seconds just like I did with Pinterest. To celebrate my new found love I thought I would make a little collage of my favorite make-up necessities I always have in my make-up bag.
 Wonder Perfect Mascara by Clarins
My favorite mascara for volume but especially length. It doesn’t dry out and just feels good on your eyes. Easy to wash off at night and only needs two layers to look spot on. Worth every penny.
dream MATTE MOUSSE foundation by Maybelline New York
The perfect matte foundation. Feels so light on your skin and lasts all day (as long as you don’t overly touch your face). Has a medium coverage and just blends in beautifully. It’s easy to work with and has SPF 15 which is a BIG plus!
Super Stay 24H Concealer by Maybelline New York
I am girl who tends to get spots here and there and quite dark circles under my eyes so this concealer is a life saver! It covers very well but it does need a touch up during the day (if you’re like me and tends to unconsciously touch your face that is). Blends in perfectly with the foundation.
Mineralize Skinfinish Natural by MAC
In the shade ‘Give Me Sun!’ (it’s much darker in real life than in the photo). I am in love with this bronzer. It’s not too overpowering and just gives my Scandinavian paleness (yes, that’s a thing) a bit of sunkissed glow. Hallelujah for that. It’s long lasting, easy to work with and definitely worth the money. MAC in general makes really good powders, bronzers and blushes.
Veluxe Brow Liner by MAC
Love love love it! Can’t go out the door without it. So easy to work with, lasts all day (and night too) and looks very natural. The pencil is soft and the brush in the other end is perfect for smudging so your brows don’t look too “drawn on”.
Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush by Rimmel
I use the colour Santa Rose which has the right tone for my skintone. It’s subtle and has a bit of shimmer in it which works as a high lighter as well.
 Kiss Me Balm by Sephora
In the color ‘Soda Pop’. It smells like cola, it’s super soft on your lips and has the most beautiful dark pink/purple color. You can make it very subtle or heavy depending on how much you put on. Last for several hours even after eating and drinking.
Naked Palette 1 by Urban Decay
I finally got one for Christmas and it’s never leaving my make-up bag again. Beautiful colors, long lasting, stays in place, easy to work with. It has the perfect ratio between shimmery and matte colors so it’s perfect for both day and night. Comes with a really good two-in-one brush and the package itself is gorgeous. Big fan!
I also have my beloved EOS lip balm, my Garnier BB cream, a non-stick nude lipgloss, a black eyeliner from L’Oréal, an eyelash curler, different brushes, a lip balm with SPH, a day cream and some other bits and bobs in my make-up bag.
Hope you liked this little peek into how I manage not to look like a mix between Casper the Friendly Ghost and a smashed door when I leave my house in the morning.
What’s the one product you simply can’t live without?

  1. I got NARS Virtual Domination cheek palette for Christmas and I’ve now fallen in love with NARS Laguna Bronzer… it really suits me 🙂

as for makeup bags.. I don’t really have one.. I’m curious how people have small bags and still have a makeup bag…
